honoring the Lady and Mother of All Nations
Pentecost, May 29 – 31, 2004

the Lady of All Nations
and the Power of Prayer

Mother's Day for Mary

“As in years gone by, may the Day of Prayer be like a 'Mother's Day' where the nations crowd around their mother praying,”  said Fr. Paul Maria Sigl to the pilgrims on Pentecost Sunday morning. “Before the original image of the Lady of All Nations we discover the mystery of Mary's universal motherhood for Christians, Jews, Muslims, believers and non-believers. Today should be a day of love because everyone desires to be loved. Love's nicest fruit is unity.”
Looking back, a young family man from Switzerland wrote in an e-mail, “When I entered the hall it was a real 'coming home' and renewed a tremendous experience!” It was like this for many and the sisters from the shrine unanimously observed, “There was an overwhelming response to the Day of Prayer by telephone, fax and e-mail.”
