The Events of Akita —
In Akita, Japan, Mary shows her great desire that her coming to Amsterdam not remain hidden. The wonderful events of Akita began very inconspicuously through a single little prayer card of the Lady of All Nations. Akita, therefore, is a fruit of the World Action.
In the sixties, a German priest gave a Japanese prayer card to a little convent in northern Japan. Following the miraculous healing of the novice mistress through the prayer of the Lady of All Nations, the superior of the cloister wished to express her thankfulness. She commissioned a Buddhist wood-carver to sculpt an exact replica of the Amsterdam image.
Thereafter, this statue of the Lady of All Nations, the Coredemptrix, wept tears more than one hundred times, perspired a fragrant perfume, and bled from the wound of the right hand.
Bishop Ito (left), having witnessed this with his own eyes, discussed the situation with Cardinal Ratzinger. Following careful examinations, the bishop confirmed the supernatural character of the messages given to sister Agnes Sasagawa in Akita.
On June 24, 1988, Bishop Ito made a pilgrimage to the chapel of the Lady of All Nations in Amsterdam where he celebrated Holy Mass in the presence of the visionary and her sisters.
